Does God have a specific plan for your life?
How can you know God's will?
Should God's will affect how you make daily decisions?

Pines City Baptist Church & Bible College is pleased to welcome back Dr. Tim Berrey for this module class on "Planning Your Life God's Way: Obtaining a Specific Understanding of God's Will for Your Life."

All are welcome to join PCBBC students at the church for class sessions Thursday, October 15 through Saturday, October 17. See the poster below for details. Dr. Berrey will also speak during Sunday services. Please bring your own lunch on Saturday; there will be lecture material available for purchase if you would like to follow along with the notes.

This is an especially relevant topic for young adults, so invite your teen or 20-something friends, or if you are a parent/grandparent, bring your children! Contact the church office to register!

“What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.”
― A.W. Tozer

How well do you know God? What comes into your mind when you think about God? We will be launching a new series for the youth group, starting next week, called "The Realities of God."

By God's grace, this series will help enlarge and enrich your perception of God as we explore what the Bible teaches about who God is and how the knowledge of God affects your life.

The series will include:
  • The existence of God.
  • The attributes of God.
  • The names of God.
  • The trinitarian nature of God.

Join us at 6:30 PM every Friday, beginning next week, February 13th, at the multi-purpose building.

See you there!

Here at Pines City Baptist Bible College we are currently in the midst of the module class “Youth Ministry.” Each semester we try to pick a topic of broad interest to be offered as a module class on weeknights and Saturday afternoons for two weeks. These classes are designed to be accessible by working adults and students with daytime classes.
Picture
We are excited to be offering the Youth Ministry class to 30+ students this semester, filling nearly every seat in the classroom!
Picture
Each two-hour session includes lectures by L. Jared Garcia on topics such as “Why We Do What We Do: Theology & Philosophy of Youth Ministry,” “Serious Business for Serious Leaders: Qualities of a Healthy Youth Worker,” “A Message from a Passage: Teaching Teens the Bible,” and “Real Teens: Understanding Youth Culture.” This class features small group discussion each night, giving students a chance to experience the small-group format common in youth ministry settings as well as a chance to engage with the ideas they are being presented with in the lectures. Of course, everyone’s favorite time is coffee break, when we enjoy the fellowship… and the free coffee.

Subscribe to the RSS feed or follow us on Facebook (click icon in top right corner) to receive notifications about upcoming module courses.

We are inviting all pastors, church leaders, and anyone interested to attend this 3-day conference. The schedule is as follows:

Feb 23, Monday
     REGISTRATION 1-2 pm
Seminar 1: 2-3 pm "What Does It Take to Be a Biblicist in Our Choices?" by Pastor Erick Garcia

  • This message will lay down what ought to be the underlying, fundamental basis or authority for belief and behavior - not tradition, not experience, not church, not reason, not research but divine revelation found in God's Word, the Bible.
Seminar 2: 3-4 pm "How Decisions Are Affected If There Are Errors in the Bible" by Pastor Jared Garcia
  • This will address underlying concerns on the Bible's trustworthiness and why orthodox Christianity upholds the doctrine of Biblical inerrancy - that all other bases are flawed and fallible.
     BREAK
     Seminar 3: 6-7 pm TBA
Service 1: 7-8 pm "EXCELLENCE IN MISSIONS" by Dr. Ron White

Feb 24, Tuesday
Seminar 1: 9-10 am "Man's Interpretation or God's Integrity" by Pastor Gary Jones
  • This will underscore the importance of taking God at His Word, that the meaning of the Scripture is found in the text of Scripture (author's intent - not in the imagination of the reader), and that the proper reading of the Scriptures is an issue of God's integrity, not simply a preference to a particular hermeneutical approach.
Service 2: 1-11 am "EXCELLENCE IN MUSIC" by Dr. Ron White
     BREAK
Seminar 3: 6-7 pm "Are We Settling for Substitutes?" by Dr. Roberto-Jose Livioco
  • This will underscore the importance of the Christian's living a separated life and highlight the tragedy all can expect for making choices based on the world's principles, even for those who claim to be identified with the fundamentalist camp.
Service 3: 7-8 pm "EXCELLENCE IN MINISTRY" by Dr. Ron White

Feb 25, Wednesday
Seminar 1: 8:30-10 am Panel Discussion
Service 4: 10-11 am "EXCELLENCE FOR THE MASTER" by Dr. Ron White
